TEXTURED
Translating can really fuck with your head sometimes.
I was tasked to translate this morsel from the American Kennel Club’s description of the Bichon Frise:
The breed is often compared to a cotton ball due to its curled double coat, which consists of a textured outer coat and a silky undercoat.
What I envisioned in Japanese could be translated back into English as:
I fingered a dog with curly hairs on its inner and outer skins because it looked like a cotton ball.
What threw me was the word “textured.”
Ok wait first of all… translators really excel in one direction of translation. I excel in Japanese to English, not vice versa, so what the fuck am I doing translating into Japanese fuck that shit TEXTURED TEXTURED TEXTURED.
Look at that word enough times and you’ll achieve satori, I swear it…
Or let the sweat on your upper lip drip on the bichon you’re fingering. That’s some texture.
