I’m dumbstruck by news of Whitney Houston’s death. I’m not shocked by what’s probably an overdose everyone could have predicted, but I’m actually dumbstruck because her death represents the final canonization of my own adolescence.
She was the inspiration behind at least my first two spiral perms…
